How is the Gothram concept started by Indians; Brahmin race seems to be very ancient andthe gothram is still continuing. Is it possible to go back to distant past, if so to what extent?

  Yes, you can certainly go back up to when the monkeys came down from the tree :) Do you realise that most who do geneology are unhappy with what they find in their past, murderers, thieves, etc.? Anyhow, tracing up to the monkey or even beyond is certainly possible

  anthropologists have proven that migration had caused migrane headaches when it comes to defining race..
  Remember India-the one that was w/o Pakistan? pakistan was born and now we have a new race..Pakistanis...who are actually Indians..And they have relatives in India..Father Indian(muslim) Momma Indian (Muslim)- children Pakistanis.....sad but true...
