I am extremely disturbed to see us Tamilian not following our culture, they are adopting to western culture, it does not matter if they pick up the good things from other culture, but our ppl tend to pick the negative side of other cultures.

I also hate it when Tamilian mix Tamil & English and speak in fussy way, English is just a language, but many ppl think a word or two of English knowledge make them very intellectual, indeed, how sad :(((,

When are we going 2 changes? are we loosing our pride ?

  There must be lots of spoken Tamil lesson books available? Watching carefully other Tamilians speak is a fast way to learn. Watching Tamil movies & cine songs also will be helpful.

  I have some pages which I had printed out from Internet in late January 2003 - early February 2003. I can read Tamil, write the alphabets well. As for speaking, I can speak some Tamil. The major problem with learning is that I have been practicing by myself and that is a major problem for me. As I need people around me who speak the language and also, I do not know where to start. I have been getting so much confusion as to how I should talk. ie: One person will say, "ingE amaralamaa?" for "May I sit here?". Others say to me, "No, no, no.. The correct one is ingE okkaralaama" or something like that. "kaiya vaitthu sappidalamaa"???? "kaiyaal sappidalaamaa"??? "enakku romba pasikkudhunga" vs "enakku nanRaa pasikkudhu". AIYOOO! My brain hurts from all the confusion! ammaa kappatthuvaa! I will copy these confusions I am having and post these on seperate thread. I have been on FH since May and I should of been inquiring these things and how to talk in Tamil. <:?confused
