Hi
I'm confused about Tamil New Year and Pongal.
I know that we are in Thiruvalluvar Aandu 2034, and that we are entering 2035 on Pongal day, which means we are entering January on this day.
But we don't say that this is new year, but that it is Tamil New Year on 14th April.
Can anybody explain this?
