PRAWN CURRY FOR "RATNA"...................

HI Ratna,
HERE comes ur PRAWN CURRY
First boil the cleaned prawns in salt water.....
Then, heat the pan with oil, add sombu, then onion. when the onion becomes brown in color, add tomato and fry for some time, then add giner-garlic paste and fry till the raw smell goes, then add the cleaned prawns in to this , fry for some time , then add turmeric , salt, chilly powder. Thats it. Garnish with the coriander leaves.
If u want , u can also add garam masala , for ur taste........

hi,
I find ur recepi is great, im sure it cud be very delicious, but i wud be happy if u cud let me no what is sombu & giner garlic in order to cimplete my cooking.

Dear Gaya3,
I normally cook the shrimp with masala,becoz hardly it takes time to cook.why they r cooked separately? is it taste different or any other reason?

Why do we have to boil the shrimps in salted water?
Again, I would add the spiced powders before adding the shrimps to the mix
