I have not tried that. But mudakkattraan is very bitter. Some say that mudakkattraan thosai tastes great. What do you say?

HI Idiappam,
Mudakkutthaan dosai tastes good.IT's like fenugreek (methi) seeds,if u taste it raw,it gives a bitter taste but in dosai it is very tasty.Perandai dosai also is good for health.

Idiappam, that is great for taste. Sheep also love mudakkattraan leaves. Good for cold in rainy season. Taken with mazhaikaalaan (mushrooms), it is great combination.

Hi Idiappam and Suhera..!
to my knowledge my mom used to put a fistful of mudakkathan keerai for 4 :1 rice and dal proportion.I f u want u can reduce urad dal like 1/2 a cup and add a cup of keerai to it while grinding.Ferment it and make dosai.
Venthaiya dosai
boiled rice-4 cups
urad dal-1 cup
salt to taste
venthiyam-1tsp
This is different venthiya dosai
Boiled rice 2cups
tur dal( thuvaram paruppu)- 1 cup
venthiyam -2tsp
salt to taste
Grind all and ferment it for 6 hrs and make dosa, good for health and gives good taste.
Try this,
thanx
Devi
