Hello there

Which vegetables are suitable in making of pav baji? I heard about potato,cabbage and peas.Am i missing something?

  This pav bhaji recipe got it from "The Hindu a long time back..Try and let me know.
  
  Potato 1/4 kilo
  Green peas
  
  Boil the above veg., separately.
  
  Tomato 1/4 kilo
  Onion big 2
  Capsicum 1
  Carrot or cabbage 100 g
  
  Cut the above four veg., into small pieces and cook them well.
  
  Red chilly 4 to 5(soak them in 1/2 cup of water)
  Jeera 1 tsp
  Dhania powder 1 tsp
  Lemon 1
  Coriander leaves 1 small bunch
  Butter 50 g
  Salt depends
  
  Method:
  
  Do it in the non-stick pan or tawa.
  
  Melt the butter and add jeera, fry well. Put onion and saute till it is golden color. Now, add dhania powder, peeled and mashed potato, ginger paste, mix well till the raw smell goes off.
  
  Take the soaked red chillies out without water and grind nicely, add it to the above mixture. Take boiled peas, tomato pieces and mash nicely. It is the time to add all the remaining vegetables and mash once more. Pour salt, necessary water, coriander leaves and mix well.

  After switching the gas off, squeeze the lime juice gently.
  
  Either pav bun or bread can use with the above sabji. Toast them one side apply butter lavishly and apply sabji in the center, close it with other pav, serve.
  p.s.: For extra taste, like in the hotels, u can add more cut onions and small lemon piece.
  
  To make the job easier, cut the veg., very small so that it is very easy to mash them since we dont have that particular utensil to mash like in the hotels they do. Every time, use to follow this recipe and I love it very much.
